Hirt Me Baby, One More Time


We've previously discussed the two sides of Al Hirt's career - commercialism vs. art - and thankfully this 1961 album falls more in the second category, as it follows his initial Dixieland period (some of those roots show here) and precedes his big commercial success, so the "follow up the hit" pressure doesn't exist.
