The Battle For Passenger Tire Supremacy Rages on the Racetrack!!!

er, and apparently also in the record rack, as I've got Christmas LPs from Goodyear, BF Goodrich, and Firestone. The latter company will be the focus this week (by request, no less). In comparison the the Goodyear discs, which feature a mix of folks in many genres, including country and semi-rock, the Firestone series seems quite a bit stodgier, with a lot of classical and MOR [middle of the road (heh - well, that's an unplanned pun)] artists. I wonder if that reflects a marketing decision of the time?

Today's disc is from 1963.
