The Ides of Marches

The Goldman Band - Sousa Marches Columbia ‎– CL 6228

This mid-1950's 10" LP should get you through just about any patriotic event short of the President showing up at your house (no "Hail To The Chief"). Columbia's battle to make the 10" LP the    standard over the competing 12" LP has just about run its course by this time.

The Goldman Band, established in 1918, finally ceased operations in 2005 (primarily because of financial difficulties). This recording is lead by Richard Franko Goldman, son of founder
Edwin Franko Goldman.
